New York Times Washington Post Businessweek San Jose Mercury News BBC Press Release: Legal Immigrant Association, in partnership with Immigration Voice, invites employment-based immigrants to the Legal Immigration Rally starting at 9:00 am on September 18, which will take place in front of the Washington monument at the nation's capital.

On July 14, 2007, more than 500 people walked on the streets of San Jose, and signed a petition to Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. Most participants were highly educated engineers, scientists, and managers, working for hi-tech companies such as Google, Apple, and Cisco. Associated Press, as well as several local TV stations and newspapers were there. This protest, organized in partnership with Immigration Voice, was a huge success.

For decades, legal immigrants, especially highly skilled workers, have been silent, and largely ignored by the government's immigration policies, despite the fact that their great contributions to the economy has kept and created jobs within the country, and that they represent a hard working and responsible group of society members who have paid their taxes and abided the laws.
